AGRICULTURAL POLICY OF COTTON MONOCULTURE AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

The article discusses the consequences of the agricultural policy of the cotton monoculture of the Soviet government in the Republic of Uzbekistan. In connection with the establishment of monopoly power in the republic’s agriculture, the use of many toxic chemicals to produce a large crop, it caused significant environmental damage to nature and human health in the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the Surkhan Oasis.
