The Samanid state has a special place in the history of monetary circulation in Central Asia, reflecting the political and economic situation of that period. The article draws attention to the importance of expanding the initial base when evaluating monetary circulation and properties in Movarounnahr in the VIII-X centuries. It highlights the prospects for using local data to determine the role and place of Central Asia in the international economy of the Middle Ages.
