MELIORATION PROBLEMS IN THE FERGHANA VALLEY AGRICULTURE: HISTORY AND ANALYSIS (FIRST HALF OF 20TH CENTURY)

Based on scientific and historical literature, the article scientifically analyzes the activities of Soviet government bodies on the development of irrigated agriculture, as well as the problems of land reclamation, the history of the construction of spillways that can reduce groundwater levels in the Ferghana Valley during the 30 years of the twentieth century.
