ABOUT ETHNIC LAYERS OF SOUTH UZBEKISTAN

This article examines the ethnic composition of the population of the Surkhandarya oasis, which is territorially important for the formation of the Uzbek people. Here you can find information about Kungrads and Karluks, autochthonous and alien shrouds that lived in the southern regions of Uzbekistan. The process of penetration of these tribes into the Surkhandarya oasis and the areas inhabited by them today is studied. As a result, written sources describing the ethnic roots of the population of southern Uzbekistan from ancient sources are described and scientifically analyzed.
