TROOPS OF THE TURKESTAN MILITARY DISTRICT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY: TO THE QUESTION OF MATERIAL SUPPORT

Among the topical issues of the history of the Turkestan Territory in the second half of the 19th century, which continue to arouse keen interest of domestic and foreign scientists today, is the uniform of the troops of the Turkestan Military District. In the scientific literature, no studies have been found that would comprehensively illuminate the issues of the dress of the Russian imperial troops who served in Central Asia. In this regard, the author studied the military legal documentation, considered the evolution of the military and Cossack uniforms, presented its description, composition and timing of the callout, analyzed the experience of military uniforms of the 30s - 40s. XIX century. The study showed that during the period under review, a new type of military uniform was formed in the troops of the Turkestan Military District, which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed method. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the presence of the troops of the Russian Empire in Central Asia made it possible to create a new type of military suit for military personnel.
