JUDICIAL SYSTEM OF THE UZBEKISTAN SSR IN THE YEARS AFTER THE SECOND WORLD WAR (on the example of 1946-1960)

This article covers, based on a wide range of historical sources and a comparative analysis of legal documents, limited military courts in the Uzbek SSR after the end of the Second World War and the strengthening of the powers of courts of general jurisdiction, the election of judges, the national composition and professional potential of personnel, the position of educational institutions of training lawyers. It also considers repressions against scientists and cultural figures, the beginning of the rehabilitation process after Stalin's death, the gradual limitation and abolition of the powers of special courts, the strengthening of the judicial power of the union republics.
