CHILD CARE AND OPERATIONS OF CHILDREN’S HOUSES IN KAZAKHSTAN IN 1920-1940

The article examines the fate of orphans in Kazakhstan, which was a serious social problem in the first half of the twentieth century, the measures taken by the state to care for them, and their consequences. It also analyzes orphanages created in Kazakhstan during this period, the conditions created for orphans and street children, the financial condition of institutions, the impact of political repression on them.
