This article talks about the socio-economic situation of Kashkadarya region during the Soviet period, in particular, in the 50s of the XX century. In this regard, the positive and negative aspects of the development of cotton, industry and agriculture, activities related to the development of new cultivated areas, the hard work and perseverance of the people of Kashkadarya, and despite the fact that the branches of industry are far behind, all opportunities have been used. and we will be able to see some improvement in agriculture. The ten-year history of the socio-economic life of Kashkadarya region before its merger with Surkhandayo region is reflected in this article.
