TASHKENT JEWELRY SCHOOL IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX-EARLY XX CENTURIES

The article analyzes scientific expeditions conducted by Russian researchers to determine the extent of the natural resources of the Tashkent region during the period of Russian colonialism. It also highlights the works of Russian researchers devoted to the traditional jewelry activities of the region. In particular, it discussed the activities of local jewelers in the second half of the XIX – early XX centuries, jewelry making, traditions between craftsmen and apprentices, aspects of the differences between regional jewelry schools, the social status of jewelers.
