HISTORY OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN THE LOWER SYRDARYA REGION

In this article analyzed on the sites of ancient cemeteries and burial mounds, monuments of the first Saka nomadic tribes living in the Lower Syrdarya, Lower Amudarya, and Aral sea regions, which are of great importance for the ancient history of Uzbekistan, are taken. The archaeological research and its results, as well as some opinions about them, are analyzed. The lower reaches of the Syrdarya are rich in archaeological monuments. Archaeological research was carried out at many monuments in this territory. The ruins of the city and other archaeological sites located in the middle part of the Syrdarya and on the eastern coast of the island have been historically and geographically described since the end of the 19th century, but as a result of the continuation of archaeological research by the Khorezm expedition of 1946-1992, with interruptions, from the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, many monuments of the early Iron Age and antiquity.
