The article contains information about the field of diplomacy − the field of epistolography (study of letters and letters). Periodic correspondence in the history of our statehood called "The Age of the Khanates" contributes to the coverage of the history of the relationship between the Bukhara emirate, the Khiva and Kokand Khanates. The letters have implications as sources for studying the history of the Mangit, Kungirat and Ming dynasties' relationships. Letters are a written appeal from one side to the other. Details of one or more events are reported by the message. According to the tasks, letters are divided into several types. Most of the official documents held by the UIS funds list letters drawn up between rulers and government officials. The text of the letter was prepared by users. Letters on the political, economic and cultural life of the khanate period are informed as the primary source
