Мақолада ХХ асрнинг 40-80 йилларида Ўзбекистонда саноатлаштириш сиёсатининг олиб борилиши, саноат корхоналарининг маълум бир шаҳарга зич ва жуда яқин жойлаштирилиши унинг атроф-муҳитига салбий таъсир этганлиги тарихий манбалар асосида ёритилди. Совет Иттифоқ мажбуриятларини ишлаб чиқаришнинг тез суръатларда бажарилиши саноат корхоналарнинг моддий техник базаларига эътиборсиз бўлганлиги натижасида чиқиндиларнинг атроф-муҳитга етказган зарарлари ҳақида маълумотлар келтирилган.
