Мақолада мустақиллик йилларида Ўзбекистонда архив иши ҳуқуқий асосларининг шаклланиш жараёни таҳлил этилади. Архив иши бўйича қабул қилинган қонунлар ва қарорларни таҳлил этиш асносида республикада архив қонунчилигининг вужудга келиши ва тобора такомиллашиб бориши очиб берилади. Архив ишига доир янги меъёрий ҳужжатлар қабул қилинишини тақозо этган омиллар кўрсатиб ўтилади. Ўзбекистон Республикасида ҳуқуқий майдоннинг яратилишиши архивларнинг амалий фаолиятига ижобий таъсир кўрсатганлиги таъкидланади.
