Мақолада илк темир даврини даврлаштирилиши масалаларини асослаш учун Яздепа ёдгорлигида В.М.Массон томонидан солинган стратиграфик қазишмаларни натижалари ҳозирги кунга келиб бутун Ўрта Осиёнинг ҳамма ҳудудларини эгаллаб олаолмаётганлиги, ҳамда Яз-II археологик комплекси фақат Амударёнинг жануб томонига таълуқли бўлиши мумкинлиги қайд этилади. Шунингдек, Марв воҳасидаги йирик Яздепа ёдгорлигида солинган стратиграфик шурф жуда ҳам яхши натижа бердганлиги, унинг қуйи қатламларидан юқори қатламларигача бўлган қатламларидан аниқ 3 та археологик комплекс олинганлиги ва бу комплекслар илк темир давридан Ўрта Осиёга Александр Македонский юришларига қадар бўлган даврларнинг стратиграфик ҳолатини яққол намоён қилиши ушбу мақолада тахлил этилган.
