The theories of classical and modern sociologists and economists such as A. Smith, K. Marx, M. Weber, P. Bourdieu, A. Giddens are studied. The development trends of the middle class in the context of Uzbekistan are also examined. Research results show that the middle class is the main driving force of social stability, economic growth and democratization processes.
