COIN BURNING PRACTICE AND MINT WORK IN THE KHIV KHANATE IN THE 19TH CENTURY

The weight and metal content of the coins of the Khiva Khanate were strictly controlled by the state. This was important to maintain quality and ensure the reliability of the coins in the international market. The weight of coins used in trade was regularly checked by accountants. The coins were minted under the personal control of the khans. The quality, design, and inscriptions on the coins were of particular importance. This article analyzes the minting of coins and the work of the mint in the Khiva Khanate.
