This extended scientific-analytical article examines the issues of green economy and energy efficiency as the main drivers of sustainable development of the national economy in the context of global climate change and resource constraints. The article discusses in detail the Green Economy Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030, structural changes in the energy balance, increasing the share of renewable energy sources (RES), the ISO 50001 standard, and institutional and economic and financial mechanisms for implementing ESG principles.
