The article compares foreign methodological approaches to evaluating the efficiency of audit services and assesses the possibility of adapting them to the conditions of Uzbekistan. Seven approaches are examined: the audit quality indicators of the PCAOB, the shortened indicator set of the Federation of European Accountants, the inspection-based grading system of the UK Financial Reporting Council, the disclosure framework of ACRA, the audit quality framework of the IAASB, efficiency models based on DEA and SFA, and the balanced scorecard. Each approach is scored against five criteria regulatory compatibility, availability of the information base, implementation cost, human capacity and implementation time and an adaptation index is calculated. The IAASB framework (0.92), the European indicator set (0.80) and the Singapore model (0.77) prove the most suitable for national conditions, whereas the 28-indicator system of the PCAOB (0.48) and DEA models (0.44) cannot be transferred directly at the present stage. A national model of twelve indicators in three groups and a phased implementation procedure for 2026–2030 are proposed.
