The problems of lexical errors in the speech of students of the national group are raised. The duties of the teacher in the lesson and the problematic aspects of this subject. Features of learning the lexical minimum. Types of lexical meaning associated with lexical compatibility of words. Among the "world" languages, the role of the Russian language as a means of international communication is huge. Due to the entire direction of socio-political, economic, scientific‒ technical and cultural development of humanity in the 20th - 21st centuries, the Russian language is rightfully considered the world language. This is primarily explained by the "international" nature of modern science and the unprecedented pace of its development. Nowadays, it is important for every student to know the Russian language well. In this regard, it is important to use new methods of teaching the Russian language.
