THE COME TO POWER OF THE MAMUNIDS DYNASTY AND THE PROBLEM OF ETHNOGENESIS

Today, in the historical sources of Khorezm, dating back to the 10th century, archaeological finds are very rare. As a result, many passages from the history of this period remain unclear to us. In particular, no consensus was reached on the entry of the Khorezmshah Mamunids into the political arena and the division of Khorezm into northern and southern parts. It is also unclear to which ethnic group this dynasty belongs. In this article, the above topics are analyzed using numismatic and manuscript sources. In particular, an attempt will be made to clarify the above topic by analyzing the work of scientists who have conducted research on this topic.
