This article analyzes the legal aspects of preventing crimes committed through computer technologies in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Currently, with the development of information technologies, the number of cyberattacks is increasing year by year, which is causing a number of problems for most countries, and Uzbekistan is also not immune to the negative impact of cybercrime. Therefore, ensuring cybersecurity remains a global issue that must be addressed by all countries today. The article examines the problems arising from computer technologies and their causes, and proposes effective solutions. At the same time, the article analyzes and studies the strategies of developed foreign countries in protecting against cybercrime based on reliable statistical data, and offers proven practices for creating a competitive system in terms of the level of cybersecurity in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The proposed measures may contribute to reducing the number of cybercrimes when applied in practice.
