In the article, the author talks about the concept of probation service, its content, social necessity and legal foundations. The scientific work also consistently analyzes the history of the formation of the probation service, its role in the execution of sentences in some foreign countries and the promotion of the resocialization of persons, as well as the need and current state of the introduction of this service in our country. Some suggestions and recommendations have also been developed to improve the efficiency of the probation service.Abstract
