Abstract

This article reflects the inner turmoil experienced by the main character, their self-awareness brought about by a condolence visit, and their return to their corrupt inner world, skillfully portrayed by the writer. Through this, the process of pure feelings related to humanity and a sense of duty turning into an illusion is depicted. Furthermore, the portrayal of the situation includes two images of Dilnura and the background of two different lives that characterize her. The article highlights feelings such as compassion, respect, and sympathy— fundamental to humanity—which are brought to the forefront. Different attitudes toward these concepts are observed. This short story is also noteworthy in contemporary storytelling for its depiction of pressing moral and ethical issues.
