Abstract

This article focuses on the examining the use of style and methods in literary translation (direct and indirect) from Uzbek into German, using the novel “Days Gone By” by Abdulla Qodiriy as an example. The research also discusses the types of translation employed in the process. Particular attention is given to the preservation or recreation of national color in literary translation, the transmission of linguocultural elements, lacunae, and culturally specific vocabulary, as well as the challenges encountered throughout the translation process.
