STUDYING OF NUMBER CATEGORY IN UZBEK LINGUISTICS

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The Uzbek language is always being studied, analyzed, developed and refined in terms of grammar and art. In particular, the number category, which is one of the many grammatical categories in it, is being studied and substantiated by many linguists. This scientific article is devoted to the study and analysis of singular and plural, i.e. number category in the modern Uzbek language. The meaning of the plural in our mother tongue is studied as a grammatical category within the group of nouns and verbs in works on practical grammar. In this research, the structure, content, function and application of the meanings of singular and plural, that is, the number category, the linguistic features and speech realization of the plural category in the Uzbek language, the morphological, which expresses the plural meaning, lexical, syntactic, phonetic and non-linguistic tools were studied.
