Abstract

ABSTRACT

Studying a new language can be a daunting task. It requires a lot of time, effort, and patience to learn grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. However, studying a language is not just about learning words and phrases, but it also involves understanding the culture of the country where the language is spoken. Culture and language are inseparable, and learning about one helps to understand the other. The culture of a country includes its history, customs, traditions, values, and way of life. Understanding the culture of the country whose language you are studying can enhance your language skills in several ways. Learning about cultures is important because it is always interactive. While students learn about other languages and cultures, they also learn to better understand their own language and culture. One of the goals of language teaching is also to motivate students to appreciate their own cultural background, and with-it other cultures, so that they can learn to encounter other cultures and people without prejudice.
