THE MEANING AND GENESIS OF THE HIEROGLYPH LEXEME IN LINGUISTICS

Abstract

ANNOTATION
This article examines the origin of the character's lexeme in the language system, the meaning and definitions of the “character” lexeme in explanatory dictionaries, its interpretations in linguistics and various linguistic units used to create a character character. The article describes some ways to create an image of a character using language units – a description of the appearance of the hero, dialogue, internal monologue, analogy and metaphor, language units related to the social status and education of the hero, features of the use of repetitions.
The meaning of the lexeme of a literary character in the language system indicates its influence on the overall content of a work of art. Such aspects of a character's personality as character, appearance, motives, relationships, evolution, and symbolism arising on the basis of linguistic units in a work of fiction are considered. The main techniques used in character creation are also described – the selection of words and phrases, which list language units, narrative techniques, dialogues, logical sequence and originality of the sentence structure and description of the environment.
