In the article, the famous American linguist, anthropologist, cultural scientist, researcher of the languages ​​of indigenous people of Canada, USA and Mexico. Besides that the most essential task of the article is to describe Eduard Sapir’s book "Language. Introduction to the study of speech". The purpose is, firstly, to enlighten students with Edward Sapir’s scientific heritage, and secondly, to encourage young researchers to study the life and work of E. Sapir.
