LEGAL PRINCIPLES AND INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS OF THE ORGANIZATION OF THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

Abstract

This article examines international standards of prosecutorial activities and the mechanisms for
appointing prosecutors. Special emphasis is placed on the independence, impartiality, and fairness of
prosecutors as key aspects of effective justice and the rule of law. The study analyzes international
legal instruments developed by the UN and the Council of Europe that regulate prosecutorial
appointment procedures, professional qualifications, and ethical standards. Additionally, it explores
the integration of international standards into national legal systems, anti-corruption measures, and
the safeguarding of prosecutorial independence from political influence.
