THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PARAMETERS OF MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING OF THE BRAIN AND COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS IN POSTTRAUMATIC ENCEPHALOPATHY
Keywords:

Post-traumatic encephalopathy (PE) is a disease that occurs after traumatic brain injury and is accompanied by diffuse changes in the brain. After a traumatic brain injury, scarring, atrophic, and dystrophic changes develop in the tissues of the skull for 1 year, which lead to post-traumatic encephalopathy. Patients with PE have general cerebral complaints, neurological and intellectual-mnestic changes and neuropsychiatric disorders in the brain. In this article, special attention is paid to the relationship between cognitive changes and the results of MRI of the brain in patients with PE.
