Abstract

Migraine is one of the most common neurological disorders, affecting 7.7% of children and adolescents in the general population. The disease may manifest as early as under three years of age. As children grow older, the prevalence of migraine increases, reaching up to 15% in adolescence. Migraine significantly reduces a child’s daily activity and academic performance. Diagnosing migraine in children presents certain challenges and often leads to misdiagnosis and, consequently, inadequate treatment. Therefore, in pediatric neurology, special attention is currently being paid to the development and implementation of early diagnostic methods and reliable approaches for monitoring the course of this condition.
