CHARACTER OF PERIPHERAL NERVE DAMAGE IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETIC POLYNEUROPATHY
Keywords:
diabetes mellitus, polyneuropathy, electroneuromyographyAbstract
History has known for over a hundred years about the existence of a connection between diabetes mellitus and the nervous system. Literature data provide information on the general mechanisms of hyperglycemia in the pathogenesis of diabetic polyneuropathy (DP) (l). The frequency of PD has a wide range, it all depends on the survey methodology and the ecological level of the country. DP is the most common and earlier complication of diabetes mellitus, with damage to the proximal and distal parts of the nervous system. The degree of impairment is in direct proportion to the degree of clinical damage and the length of the disease, which is often described as sensory-motor-autonomic. The pathological process is associated primarily with conductors of greater length, with an increase in pain sensitivity. As the process grows, the upper limbs are involved, then vibration sensitivity, and as a result, motor neuropathy (L). This process is slowly increasing, weakness of the muscles of the lower extremities, pelvic disorder. The gold standard of diagnostics in these forms are indicators of electroneuromyography. The current level of DP research involves the conduct of an autonomic disorder, which varies in different chapters and is of great clarity in the clinical picture. An in-depth analysis of the patient's laboratory state is a very important factor in the diagnosis and further tactics of the correct therapeutic approach to this category of patients (L).
