TREATMENT OF LUMBOSACRAL LEVEL DISC HERNISA BEFORE AND AFTER SURGERY

Abstract

Intervertebral hernia is one of the most common stages of osteochondrosis. Osteochondrosis is a popular medical term in the CIS countries, associated with the occurrence of degenerative processes in the spine as a result of pathological changes in the intervertebral discs. In the West, the term "spondylosis" or degenerative spine is mainly used. The spine is made up of bones (vertebrae) with intervertebral discs between them. The discs are like shock absorbers, relieving the load on the spine, in addition, they help the spine to move. The intervertebral disc consists of a hard outer fibrous ring and a soft inner pulp nucleus. When an intervertebral hernia develops, a small part of the pulmonary nucleus is pushed out through the fibrous annulus into the spinal canal. An intervertebral hernia can crush a nerve, causing back pain, which can be transmitted to the arm or leg depending on the localization of the pain.
