Хроническая боль в позвоночнике является одной из наиболее распространённых причин, приводящих к обращениям в больницы, потере трудоспособности и инвалидности среди взрослых пациентов по всему миру. Хроническая боль в позвоночнике возникает по множеству причин; любая структура позвоночника, которая имеет нервное снабжение, такая как мышцы, синовиальные суставы, межпозвоночные диски, дуральная оболочка и связки, может быть источником боли в позвоночнике. Настоящий обзор сосредоточен на оценке эффективности радиочастотной абляции при хронических болях в позвоночнике. Также представлена история применения и основные принципы работы радиочастотной абляции.
