Epilepsiya homiladorlik va tug'ilishga to'sqinlik qiladigan kasallik emas. Hujumlarni to'liq nazorat qilish bilan homiladorlik va tug'ilishning fiziologik jarayoni mumkin. Tug'ilgan chaqaloqni kuzatadigan epileptolog, umumiy amaliyot shifokori, ginekolog, genetika, akusher va pediatrni hisobga olish kerak bo'lgan bir qator omillar mavjud. Epilepsiya bilan og'rigan ayollarda bolali bo'lish qobiliyati umumiy aholiga nisbatan o'rtacha 2 baravar kamaydi. Bu ham ijtimoiy, ham organik sabablarga bog'liq. Antiepileptik dorilar (AEP) endokrin tizimning funktsiyalarini buzishi va jinsiy buzilishlar (gipo - yoki giperseksualizm), semirish, hipotiroidizm, polikistik tuxumdonlar, jinsiy rivojlanishning kechikishi, hayz ko'rish disfunktsiyasi va ovulyatsiya buzilishining rivojlanishiga olib kelishi mumkin.. Maqolada epilepsiya bilan og'rigan homilador ayollarni boshqarish xususiyatlari muhokama qilinadi.
