SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL COMPONENTS OF CREATING AN ACCESSIBLE ENVIRONMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AT THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article discusses the main components of creating an accessible environment for people
with disabilities. Attention is paid to the educational component. In order to effectively resolve
problems related to disability, the phenomenon of disability, adaptation processes, issues of
overcoming barriers and the degree of respect for the rights and freedoms of persons with disabilities
have been identified. The problems associated with the formation of a barrier-free environment in
universities are analyzed. The article presents a study of the socio-psychological characteristics of
people with disabilities in coping with difficult life situations in building an independent life.
