THE ROLE OF SOCIOLOGY IN UNDERSTANDING AND MANAGING SOCIAL CHANGE IN UZBEKISTAN

The article examines the theoretical and practical functions of sociology in studying social change in Uzbekistan. It considers the relationships between human dignity, satisfaction, gratitude, social solidarity and public opinion. The study draws on theoretical interpretation and document analysis. A social capital approach informs the discussion of family socialization, neighborhood ties and civic participation. The use of available opportunities is examined alongside information, resources and social conditions. Indicators of trust, service access, civic engagement and belonging are proposed for sociological monitoring. Scientific objectivity and methodological transparency are identified as conditions for strengthening sociology’s contribution to governance.
