THE PROBLEM OF GENDER INEQUALITY AND ITS CONSEQUENCES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF VARIOUS SPHERES OF SOCIETY

Abstract

The article analyzes the consequences of unresolved gender equality issues and their destructive impact on the social, economic, and political spheres of society. Based on data from the United Nations and international organizations, the key manifestations of gender imbalance are examined, including the violation of women’s rights, discrimination in the labor market, the disproportionate burden of unpaid domestic work, risks associated with the automation of jobs, and the aggravation of social problems in the post-pandemic period. The article provides theoretical and empirical justification for the argument that ensuring gender equality is a fundamental factor in global economic growth and the successful socialization of individuals.
