DIALECTICS BETWEEN NATIONAL AND UNIVERSAL VALUES OF THE PERSON IN THE PROCESSES OF GLOBALIZATION: A SOCIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

This article analyzes the complex changes occurring in an individual’s value system in the context of globalization from a sociological perspective.  It focuses on the dialectical relationship between national and universal values. In the context of global information exchange, intercultural interaction, and economic integration, individuals simultaneously strive to preserve their national identity and assimilate universal values. The article examines the interaction, conflict, and synthesis of these two value systems in the formation of an individual’s identity, which ensures psychological well-being and social adaptation. The study aims to identify strategies for integrating into the global world while maintaining national identity, as well as the consequences of value conflicts for the individual and society. This article contributes to an understanding of individual value orientations in modern society and enriches the sociological knowledge base in the context of addressing the challenges of globalization.
