THEORETICAL APPROACH TO THE CONCEPT OF “PROACTIVE SOCIAL WORK”

This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the content, essence, and theoretical foundations of the concept of “proactive social work”, as well as its significance in the modern social work system. It substantiates the need to shift from the traditional reactive approach to a proactive model aimed at the early identification of social problems, prevention of their occurrence, and timely provision of social assistance to potential risk groups. The views of national and international scholars are summarized, while the main principles and objectives of proactive social work and its role in improving the effectiveness of social services are highlighted. The theoretical and methodological foundations, preventive orientation, and practical potential of this approach are examined, and prospects for its application in ensuring social well-being are substantiated.
