INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH IN THE STUDY OF MIDDLE-AGED PEOPLE

The article examines the methodological issues of stratification of the population based on social criteria. Also analyzed the psychophysiological and socio-cultural characteristics of different age categories of the population.
Factors forming the social portrait of middle-aged people are revealed. Advanced opinions on these issues are justified by the results of empirically sound scientific conclusions regarding the psychophysiological and socio-cultural characteristics of middle aged people. It is established that this age “prime time” is the longest period of a person’s life.
The article analyzes the features of middle-aged people as the main layer of the population in ensuring social and economic well-being and stability of modern society.
