PHILOSOPHICAL AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS OF THE GENDER APPROACH IN WOMEN'S EDUCATION

Abstract

The article examines the historical aspects of women's education, as well as the stages of its development both globally and nationally, taking into account the specific features of Uzbekistan’s education system. It analyzes changes in women’s aspirations for acquiring knowledge and societal attitudes toward this process from ancient times to the present. Special attention is given to the role and significance of the gender approach in the education system, and its impact on creating equal opportunities for women and men. The necessity of integrating gender education into state educational standards is emphasized to eliminate gender inequality, expand educational and professional opportunities for women, and enhance the country’s socio-economic potential. Additionally, the article provides an analysis of the current state of gender education in Uzbekistan, evaluating achievements and existing shortcomings, and substantiates the importance of the gender approach within the educational system.
