ON THE ACTIVITY OF A MEMBER OF THE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY N. A. SEVERTSOV IN TURKESTAN

The article describes the contribution to the development of science and activities in the territory of Turkestan of the famous Russian natural scientist N. A. Severtsov.The author substantiates that N.A.Severtsov, in addition to studying the natural conditions of the region, conducted activities as a specialist in special assignments.Based on the content analysis of new archival materials that have not yet been put into scientific circulation, the real work carried out by N. A. Severtsov in the region is noted.
