Муаллиф Н.А.Северцов томонидан Туркистон ўлкасининг табиий шароитларини тадқиқ этиш билан бир қаторда, Россия империяси ҳукумати кўрсатмаларига биноан минтақада махсус фаолият борилганлигини асослаган. Мақолада илмий муомалага киритилмаган янги архив ҳужжатлар асосида Н.А.Северцовнинг ўлкада олиб борган ишлари ҳусусида мазмуний таҳлил асосида маълумотлар қайд этилган.
