THE USE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGIES IN THE ORGANIZATION OF CARTOGRAPHIC ACTIVITIES IN UZBEKISTAN

Cartography provides many economic, scientific, cultural, educational and other fields with its products. In turn, it takes a lot of data from these areas to create maps. In cartography, documents of any form (photo-cartographic, graphic, cross-section, diagram, table, number, text, etc.) used to create maps are called sources. Therefore, the value of any map - its perfection, accuracy, modernity and reliability of its content - will always depend on the quality of the sources involved in its creation. Modern cartography cannot be imagined separately from aerial and satellite images. The maps we use today contain more information from images than ground observations, and should remain the primary source of information. This article describes the history of the use of modern technologies in the organization of cartographic activity in Uzbekistan and the practical work done in the Tashkent cartography factory in this regard.
