ПЕРЕПИСЬ НАСЕЛЕНИЯ В КОНЦЕ ХIХ ВЕКА В ТУРКЕСТАНЕ: ИСТОРИЯ, АНАЛИЗ, РЕЗУЛЬТАТЫ

В этой статье впервые разъясняется история переписи 1897 года и ее окончательные результаты в Туркестанском регионе. Были научно освещены цели и задачи данного списка населения, возглавленного Российской империей, которая руководствовала названным мероприятиемвопросы, включенные в программу переписи. Кроме того, статистические данные общей численности местного населения, проживающего вСамаркандской, Сырдарьинской и Ферганской областях, были проанализированы с исторической точки зрения.
