Мақолада урушдан кейинги даврда Ўзбекистонда илм-фан ва таълим-тарбия аҳволи ўрганилади. Янги олий ўқув юртлари очиш, мактаблар қуриш ва кадрлар тайёрлаш масалалари тадқиқ етилган. Мақолада илм-фан ютуқлари, Ўзбекистон олимларининг халқаро майдонга чиқиши, илм-фаннинг табиий ва гуманитар соҳаларида эришилган ютуқлар таҳлил қилинган. Умуман, мақолада иккинчи Жаҳон уруши тугаганидан сўнг таълим тизимини ислоҳ қилишга уринишлар, улар билан боғлиқ қийинчиликлар, уларнинг ижобий ва салбий оқибатлари, шунингдек, таълимнинг мамлакат маънавий-маданий ҳаётига таъсири кўриб чиқилган.
