TRANSLATIONS OF THE ILIAD INTO GERMAN AND FRENCH

This article summarizes the history of German literature and the history of French literature before the seventeenth century, namely, the process of translations of Homeric's epic Iliad. The features of German and French translations and translators are highlighted.
