Abstract

ABSTRACT

In subsequent years, research intensified the analysis of linguistic units from an anthropocentric point of view. While serious importance is attached to the study of new paradigms in linguistics, the sociolinguistic approach to the study of living speech, the study of literary texts, as well as the social characteristics of language units based on the “language-speech” principle, is one of the most pressing issues in modern science. The article deals with the issue of characterizing language capabilities based on social factors in speech.

On the example of literary texts, an analysis of language units is presented, including vulgarisms, barbarisms, euphemisms, dysphemism, curses, exclamations, forms of address depending on age, position, category and gender. In a literary text can be found vulgarisms that are often typical in the speech of a male communicator, and in the speech of female, curses and exclamations of emotions are actively used.

Key words: language opportunities, social characteristics, social strata, professional, cultural, ethno-cultural, gender characteristics, vulgarisms, barbarism, euphemisms and dysphemism, curses, exclamations and social characteristics of forms of address.
