WOMEN'S NAMES AND NAMES OF RARE METALS

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Uzbek women's names are part of the onomastic wealth, particularly the anthroponymy of this language. National traditions and rituals of the Uzbek people play an important role in creating female names, which are based on Eastern culture and spiritual criteria. The anthroponymy of female names as a linguistic phenomenon is subject to the laws and rules of word formation in the language. When choosing female names, features of words taken as a basis are taken into account. The article examines how widely used rare and precious metal designations such as gold, silver, pearl, garnet, emerald, sapphire are reflected in Uzbek names. The lexical meanings of these words in the context of a name are presented in the article along with principles for their selection and their linguistic and non-linguistic characteristics using examples.
